Discover the Fagus Gropius Exhibition
Which architectural master stroke is hidden in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Fagus Factory? Which sort of relationship did the company founder, Carl Benscheidt and the architect Walter Gropius have to one another? How does a shoe last emerge and which trends have determined the shoe fashions of the last 100 years? The eventful exhibition supplies the answers in the former warehouse. On five floors and eleven exhibition areas, the past and the present of the living monument are presented.

Bauhaus furniture
The original Bauhaus furniture designed by Walter Gropius is displayed on the floor "Carl Benscheidt & Walter Gropius".

More than lots of trees
The floor offers a diverse insight in the forest habitat. What is the ecological footprint, how many carbon can be stored in a cubic meter of wood and what does sustainability mean? What are the characteristics to distinguish tree species and how does a harvester work? The exhibition provides answers to all these questions and many other exciting things.
